ABOUT
The Sharon Math and Science Tournament is a STEM-based competition for middle schoolers in the Greater Boston and New England area organized and conducted by the SMST club at Sharon High School.
From our own experiences, STEM competitions often focus on either math or science, are rigid, and gear themselves more towards high schoolers. Therefore, the SMST Committee has dedicated themselves to creating the first fun-filled, hands-on, middle school level STEM competition in our region.
We believe that mathematics and science are complementary, and SMST is an excellent setting and opportunity for young minds interested in math and science to put themselves out there, think outside the box, and feel high school ready.

Through individual and team tests, design challenges, and lab demos that involve both math and science, we challenge middle schoolers to push their intellectual limits and explore the STEM world that is around them every day.
